Well it seems big red is working on the next generation of speed on their network. In Boston, Verizon recently tested how their new LTE network would perform, and what kind of speeds they would get in a pizza shop full of people and laptops. They did this test late last month which was more of a publicity stunt more than anything. Their test produced speeds at 10Mbps down and over 2Mbps on the upstream, which if anyone knows… is pretty danm fast… faster than my network which as you see below is running pretty slow on Wifi.
This is a huge step for Verizon Wireless, they pretty much have the market locked from having the best devices, biggest network, and now they can also add best 4G network. I am a little sad to be on T-mobile, but thankfully I have many Sprint, and Verizon Devices to play with, so that is not a problem.
